We've looked at a number of different films and their marketing campaigns.

Apart from the normal ways to market a film the main, and most effective method used for this film was on the online and mobile phone front. On social networking sights such as myspace a massive campaign was launched. This included a fully dedicated page where footage was debuted and which also featured the soundtrack of the film. A Music Home Page takeover, with the poster and more links to relevant websites being accessible. Run of site advertising, which appeared every time a different page was loaded for the user. Film page editorial coverage, where it gives advice about films, has articles about ‘film spotlights’ and so Rock N Rolla appearing there would give much more availability for the word of mouth to continue. An event on August 27 which featured an advance screening of the film, was attended by Guy Ritchie and select cast members.

Lots of different ways enabled this film to gain the best results from the widespread word of mouth.
